What is a tourism exchange?


The Government of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, through the State Secretary of Agrarian Development, production, industry, commerce and tourism (Seprotur-MS), through the Foundation of Turism of Mato Grosso do Sul (Fundtur-MS), in partnership with the Agency of Support of the entrepreneur and small business owner (Sebrae-MS), the Federal Government, the Brazilian Tourism Institute (Embratur) and the Brazilian Association of travel agencies (Abav), promotes from June 25th to July 1st, the first version of the BIT MS- Bolsa Internacional de Turismo de Mato Grosso do Sul.

The main objective of the event is to intensify the actions of promotion the State destinations.

The event aims to promote the meeting between suppliers and buyers for business p for the State's tourism industry, with the completion of the business round on June 26th, with international tourism operators.

Entrepreneurs from the State, were trained through a workshop by Fundtur-MS to participate in BIT-MS, where they received guidance on the importance of the event for the tourist market. As the Director-President of the Foundation, Nilde Brun, this is an opportunity for trade to present direct contact with large national and international operators, to strengthen partnerships, exchange information and generate new opportunities.

The target for BIT-MS is to promote the marketing of tourism products and to expand business opportunities for the industry. "Through the Business Meeting format, business owners and suppliers, will be possible to interact with buyers and sellers, operators of the national and international level, seeking to expand and build tour packages and business with equipment and services" said Nilde Brun.

For the event management, the Foundation of Tourism has organized Commission to direct activities in each sector, divided in: Main Coordination: Nilde Brun; Communication, marketing and journalist Commission,: Maria Inês; Receptive Commission: Olivia Freire; Suppliers Commission: Manager of programs and policies for the tourism development, Silvio Carlos Pereira; Social Programming Commission: Aline Rivarola; Infrastructure Commission: Fabiany Fortes and Buyers  Commission: Alessandra Fernandes.

BIT - MS will bring together 48 suppliers and more than 40 buyers, as well as national and international experts’ journalists. From June 27th  to July 1st, there will be visits and tours to locations in the main tourist routes.
